My recipe is a somewhat new tradition. Every year my mom has begged my sister, brother and me to have a caroling “party.” Although we were always promised cookies and hot chocolate when we were done, walking in the cold weather while singing songs to strangers never completely appealed to us.
Instead, one year my sister and I decided to compromise – we hosted a Yankee Swap. For the swap we made at least five different types of cookies. Our favorite were the Peppermint Ball Cookies These were devoured in what seemed like seconds and since they were so loved we have made them part of our annual holiday tradition.

"The exterior is still a nice monument to remember buildings [involved in] water history," Hoey said. "We all drink lots of water, and it's such an important resource that we kind of take for granted nowadays."](https://waylandstudentpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/IMG_2024-1200x800.jpg)
