Nordic Ski Practice: A look into the preparation for states

The Wayland High School Nordic ski team prepares for their state meet (Feb. 16) on Monday, Feb. 14. The team has practices every day at the Weston Ski Track. As it is one of the few traditional ski tracks in the area, some other schools practice there at the same time. At the state meet, the boys finished in eighth place and the girls in seventh.

Seniors Jenna Garber, Nadia Calder and senior captain Silvija Grava ski uphill. The WHS Nordic ski team mainly skate skis, but occasionally classic skis for the Massachusetts Eastern High Schools race.
