Wayland jams out at the Wayland Music Festival

On Saturday, May 21, the first Wayland Music Festival took place on the lawn of the Wayland Town Center. With live music, food, face painting and other activities, the festival attracted many Wayland residents. Sophomores Joss O’Heron, Kyra Spooner and Ellie Barenboyem organized this event through the School Committee Club at Wayland Middle School after several years of planning. It will be held again next year.

Wayland residents relax on the grass of the Wayland Town Center. Due to the hot weather, attendees were encouraged to bring their own tents in a Facebook post by sophomore and event leader Kyra Spooner in Wayland Community Forum. "The more shade, the better," Spooner said.
