In the weekly series, “In Case You Missed It,” News Editor Selena Liu summarizes stories from the past week with links to the corresponding WSPN article.

News:
Staff Reporter Vanessa Taxiarchis briefed Wayland-Weston’s annual Thanksgiving football game.
“The annual Wayland-Weston Thanksgiving football game started in 1934,” Taxiarchis wrote. “Wayland won the first game, and now the Warriors have a 53-30 record on the Wildcats. In the last 10 years, the record has been 8-1-1.”
Features:
WSPN’s Katya Luzarraga produced an article on the ripple effect of Veterans Day.
“Veritas Christian Academy displays a vibrant, uplifting message thanking veterans for their service,” Luzarraga wrote. “The display, created by Veritas Art Teacher Noelle Pierce, honors the history of Veterans Day by showcasing red paper poppies with thank you messages written by Veritas students. The display serves as a reminder for passersby to practice gratitude and service in Wayland.”
Sports:
Guest Writer Joey Fay wrote about Wayland varsity senior football players being thankful for the annual Thanksgiving game.
“Thanksgiving can have a different meaning to everyone,” Fay wrote. “Thanksgiving could mean food or spending time with family, but for the Wayland varsity senior football players, this Thanksgiving marks the last time they will be putting on the orange and black jersey.”
A&E:
Staff Reporters Elyssa Grillo and Jessi Dretler reviewed “Priscilla.” Staff Reporter Melina Barris and Dretler produced a Thanksgiving crossword. Meanwhile, Staff Reporter Makenzie Macchi discussed how to make chocolate-covered strawberry turkeys.
Staff Reporter Fiona Pletonen produced an article on Thanksgiving meal alternatives for vegetarians. WSPN’s Mischa Lee and Barris shared their Black Friday gift guide.
