The annual Golden Globes award ceremony occurred on Jan. 7, and was full of entertaining and exciting looks. These brilliant stars have outdone themselves by creating new and original looks that have grabbed the attention of some fans. Here are our opinions on eight selected looks from this event.

Margot Robbie dressed in pink from head to toe at the 2024 Golden Globes. Her stunning look was from Armani and Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry. We all agree that Robbie’s choice of clothing accurately reflects one of her latest movies, “Barbie,” as she was dressed in the well-known stereotypical color for Barbie: pink. In our opinion, no other color would suit Robbie better. The material of the dress was a shimmery material and the flattering pink boa that sat on her arms tied the whole look together. To complete the look, Robbie wore pointed-toe hot pink heels to match the rest of her pink theme. Overall, Robbie did not disappoint.

Barry Keoghan has recently gained some attention after playing the role of Oliver Quick in his newly released movie, “Saltburn.” His outfit, a cropped jacket and slim-cut pants, followed the red theme look he had put together. Both statement pieces had matching checkered material prints, which were mainly inspired by Pharrell Williams’s first collection for the French house. The last thing that stood out to us was the pearl necklace around his neck, which had a ruby gem connecting the chain in the middle. Ultimately, we agree that Keoghan’s outfit was original and entertaining.

Haille Steinfeld took a more elegant and classy route to this year’s Golden Globes. Starting off strong and chic, Steinfeld wore her hair in a simple high bun, with two strands of hair down beside her face. In our opinion, the simplicity of her hairstyle coordinated well with the rest of the look. Her dress was a baby pink silk material, with a clean cut and long style. The end of her dress draped the red carpet as she walked across. Steinfeld wore black sheer gloves to resemble a well-known look originally worn by Audrey Hepern. All together, we agree that Steinfeld looked put-together and sophisticated at the Golden Globes.

Since Timothee Chalamet’s new movie, “Wonka,” was just released, he has commanded a lot of attention this year. He welcomed this attention by dressing in a sleek, black textured suit covered in sequins designed by Celine Homme. He accessorized with a black and silver chained necklace and a diamond encrusted watch, both from Cartier. Both he and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, were dressed in striking black outfits. His outfit sparkled in photos and made him stand out. Overall, Timothee Chalamet’s outfit this year was very different. We loved this outfit and thought it was a welcomed difference from his usual basic black and white tuxedos.

However, we can all agree that Bella Ramsey’s outfit at the Golden Globes was less exciting than we anticipated. Ramsey wore a blue top with a collar and a full-length zipper, along with beige lined pants. The overall look was something we thought would be more appropriate for a casual event, not for the Golden Globes. We did like her simple hairstyle, though. Ramsey wore her hair down, with the front strands pinned back. While hair looked clean and professional, ultimately, her outfit was not our favorite look at the Golden Globes.

Heidi Klum dressed in a fiery strapless gown designed by Sophie Couture. This dress featured a sparkling bodice and a high slit. This look was paired with vibrant red Louboutin heels and sparkling Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Klum went for a more natural look for makeup and hair. Her hair was curled in long, glamorous waves and her makeup had a natural pallete, other than a classic smokey eye. Overall, Heidi Klum’s Golden Globes outfit was very elegant and definitely one of our favorites.

When Taylor Swift stepped out onto the carpet, our jaws dropped. With speculation about “Reputation, Taylor’s Version” being released soon, Swift wore a simple but bold sparkly green Gucci dress that screamed “Reputation.” The color itself is not a common color, since only certain people can actually pull it off, but Swift never fails to impress, and she looks stunning. Her long, silver earrings, green heels and voluminous hair also helped pull the whole look together. Swift’s look was glamorous and chic, and it was one of our favorites.

If we could describe Jennifer Lopez’s look in one word, it would be pink. However, Lopz wasn’t just wearing a simple pink dress – it was a stunning bubblegum pink with a mermaid style draping and a corset top. With a little pink purse, pink eyeshadow and pink earrings, Lopez devoured this look. The color of her dress complimented her skin tone wonderfully, and it was a color that definitely made heads turn. Our favorite part of her look was the beautiful roses sewn onto the arms and the top of her dress. These roses definitely made the look even more iconic than it already was. If we could choose one look from the Golden Globes to be able to wear, it would be Lopez’s.
