News Brief: Tuesday’s schedule change

On Tuesday, April 9, Chris Herren, a former Celtics basketball player, will speak with Wayland High School students from 1:20 p.m. to 2:50 p.m..

Due to Herren’s presentation, Tuesday’s schedule has been adjusted. On Tuesday, which is an F day, classes will be run in a typical F day order: four, one, two, eight, five, and six.

Typically, a student’s lunch rotation depends on their fourth class block. However, this Tuesday, their lunch rotation will depend on their fifth block class. Furthermore, there will only be two lunch rotations instead of three. If a student has math, English, history, or academic center, they will take first lunch. If a student has science, language, arts, wellness, or study hall, they will take second lunch.

“[Herren] will share his journey of navigating the disease of drug and alcohol addiction as a local kid in Fall River, all the way to the NBA, and his inspiring road to recovery,” Principal Allyson Mizoguchi wrote in an email sent out to students on Sunday, April 9.
