Wayland-Weston Rowing Association (WWRA) competed in its first regatta of the season, the Textile Regatta in Lowell, on Sunday, Oct. 6. The team had boats in 16 races. The varsity girls team raced five boats, while the varsity boys team raced seven boats. The novice boys team raced three boats, and the novice girls entered two boats. WWRA’s next race will be Sunday, Oct. 20 in the Head of the Charles Regatta. The program also recently hired a new program director and varsity girls coach, Beatrice Sims.
