Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. The game was a chance for the usual lineup to be mixed around and for players to challenge their flexibility with positions.

Basketball mid-season update

WSPN Sports Editor Chloe Zilembo breaks down how the varsity basketball teams are doing at the halfway point of the season. The boys team is currently 3-7 and ranked No. 59 in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Division II power rankings and the girls team is 2-6 and No. 56 in MIAA Division II.
