Certified stage and therapeutic hypnotist Peter Gross was welcomed by WHS on Tuesday, Jan. 28 for his annual hypnotist show. Students gathered at the auditorium at 7:30 p.m.. Some students volunteered to be a part of the show, but only some lasted until the end. Gross hypnotized students to sleep, dance, forget their names and even act like children. He was even able to hypnotize a member of the audience.
“It was really fun,” sophomore Wyeth Heilman said. “I wanted to get hypnotized last year so I’ve been looking forward to this all year. It was really strange, I could feel my eyes moving so rapidly like [they were] twitching. It just kind of felt like my vision was blurry.”
“I always expect a couple of people to get so relaxed that they fall out of their chairs,” Gross said. “It’s always okay, I never worry about them but we did have a couple of people who did this crazy backwards thing where they went backwards over the chair, I’ve never seen that before.”
