T-Tones record album with studio time won at competition
While most were enjoying a sunny weekend, the Wayland High School Testostertones, the all-male a cappella group on campus, spent eight hours on a labor of love. Some may remember that the group won the Community Fair Sing Off at the Chestnut Hill Mall back in February. Their grand prize? Free recording time at Bristol Studios in Boston, where they were shut up in a recording booth from 10 AM to 6PM last Sunday, laying down tracks for their new album.
The album, currently untitled, is expected to be released near the end of the school year. 12 songs will be featured, including “Chicken Fried”, with soloist Travis Downs, “Most Beautiful Girl”, with soloist Bobby Dresser, and “Replay”, with soloist Richard Ting.
The album will cost $10 and can be pre-ordered by contacting Dorie Lustig at [email protected].
