Last Saturday, high school students from Wayland and Weston came together to take part in the annual Relay for Life. Teams of children and adults from both towns spent the night at Weston High School, walking around the track and raising money for the American Cancer Society (ACS). The event, sponsored by the ACS, allows members from around the community to come together to remember lost loved ones, and most importantly, fight back against cancer.

"The exterior is still a nice monument to remember buildings [involved in] water history," Hoey said. "We all drink lots of water, and it's such an important resource that we kind of take for granted nowadays."](https://waylandstudentpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/IMG_2024-1200x800.jpg)
