The School Committee announced on March 26 their backing of Dr. Arthur Unobskey to succeed Dr. Paul Stein as the next Superintendent of Schools for Wayland Public Schools.

Unobskey will come to Wayland from his current position of Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Gloucester, where he has served since 2015. He previously served at schools in several communities, including Boston, Roxbury, Sudbury, and Cambridge. He will be taking over on July 1, 2017.

Unobskey’s resume as he provided it to the School Committee can be found here. Unobskey was selected among a field of four candidates, who were all interviewed last week by the School Committee.
