AFC: Patriots, Chiefs, Steelers, Raiders, Texans
NFC: Eagles, Seahawks, Cowboys, Saints

Duncan’s College Football Top 4 – Week 8

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

They looked a bit shaky on offense early against Tennessee, but they turned it around and blew out the Vols 45-7. Nothing more needs to be said.

2. Penn State Nittany Lions

A dominating performance against Michigan is enough to move the Nittany Lions above Georgia. Saquon Barkley furthered his campaign for the Heisman with a great game against the Wolverines.

3. Georgia Bulldogs

The Bulldogs had a bye. They play a big conference game against Florida this week.

4. TCU Horned Frogs

Took care of business against a sorry Kansas team. My doubts that this squad can make it out of the Big 12 unbeaten remain.

Heisman Watch:

1. Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State – 1,205 total yards (8.1 per touch), 11 total TDs, 1 KOR TD

2. Bryce Love, RB, Stanford – 1,387 yards rushing (10.3 yards per carry), 11 TDs

T-3. Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma – 2,347 yards, 19 TDs, 2 INT, 73.8%

T-3. J.T. Barrett, QB, Ohio State – 1,827 yards, 21 TDs, 1 INT, 66.5%, 370 yards rushing, 5 TDs

Game of the Week: (2) Penn State Nittany Lions vs. (6) Ohio State Buckeyes – 3:30 ET – FOX

This is a HUGE game. In my mind, the winner of this matchup is going to win the Big 10 East, win the Big 10, and therefore advance to the Playoff. People haven’t been paying much attention to the Buckeyes since their bad loss in week 2 to Oklahoma, but I’ve got news for you: they’ve found their stride offensively. J.T. Barrett is on an absolute tear. He’s been able to find a rhythm with his receivers down the field and has been creating big plays through the air. Penn State is coming off an emotional win against Michigan, and is vulnerable to a let down. All that said, this is going to be a dog fight.

Prediction: Ohio State 34, Penn State 24
