The Preliminary SAT (PSATs) will be administered at WHS on Saturday, Oct. 19. Any sophomores or juniors who are interested in taking the PSAT should go to whstesting.com for instructions on how to sign up. The deadline for signing up is Friday, Sept. 27, and the signup fee is currently $45.
The PSAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board, and approximately 3.5 million students take the PSAT each year. The goal is to give students a preview of what the real SAT is like. There are free practice PSAT books in the WHS guidance office for students who are interested in studying.
For further practice, the first WSPN-sponsored practice SAT will take place Saturday, Sept. 21.
