2019 said goodbye to dark, muted tones and hello to flashy, highlighting colors. Last year, muddy tones were swept away with the bright and fanatic colors of neon. Fluorescent shades took over social media platforms like Instagram, with people posting pictures of vivid, yellow biker shorts and matching radiant tops. 2019 brought the comeback of a much beloved style: plaid. A favorite from as early as the 1850s, plaid has been a major style seen in countless classic movies such as “Clueless,” “Legally Blond” and “She’s All That.” However, 2019 had people dressing in much more than your typical black and white blazer because many sported plaid pantsuits, skirts and even hair accessories. Snakeskin, cheetah, leopard, cow print – you name it! All of these animal prints were a popular style to see on many people this year. As a fairly new item in 2019, bucket hats made a big appearance in the world of fashion. As a popular item for many celebrities and students at WHS, bucket hats were a common sight. Although most of these glasses weren’t necessarily built for practicality, tiny glasses were certainly a huge fashion trend of 2019.
