As break approaches, some of you may be trying to figure out how you’re going to properly spend your time. If you’re looking for a few ways to help spice up your vacation, check out some of the ideas below.

WHS has over two entire weeks off for winter break this year. Want ways to keep you busy over the break? We’ve got you covered. Here are a few things to do in Boston over this extra long holiday break.

1. Watch the Nutcracker

Watching the dancing snowflakes and toy soldiers prance across stage is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit over break. This beautiful performance is only available to watch until Dec. 29, so try to catch it while you still can!

2. Ice Skating at Frog Pond

If you’re looking for something a little more interactive, Frog Pond, located in the Boston Common, is the ideal place for you to go over break! Frog Pond is a scenic place to go ice skating with your friends and family! Frog Pond offers ice skate rentals, food and beverages.

3. Watch a Celtics or Bruins game

If you’re a big Boston sports fan, going to see a Celtics or Bruins game could be an optimal way to spend some of your break. The Celtics have four home games and the Bruins have five home games over the break, which provides plenty of opportunities to watch them play!

4. Visit the Museum of Science

Want to have fun but still do something educational over break? We have the perfect solution for you. The Museum of Science is an interactive museum with many different engaging exhibits for you to visit with friends, family or even by yourself.

5. Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is a well known and highly praised performance put on by talented performers dressed as some of your favorite childhood Disney characters. This show offers a great place to visit with your younger relatives and allows everyone in the family to have fun.

6. Go shopping at the Prudential Center

Do you have last minute holiday gift shopping to do? The Prudential Center has great stores  for you to get those last minute items taken care of! The shopping center contains many restaurants, and unique shops you can’t find anywhere else.

7. Go to Faneuil Hall

Faneuil Hall has a lot to offer. From stores, to food to entertainment venues, they’ve got it all! Faneuil Hall also puts on a nightly light and sound show up until Jan. 1 so be sure you don’t miss it!

8. Walk the Freedom Trail

Boston is home to a trail with 16 of the most significant historical landmarks in New England. This trail is a great way to learn more about our city’s past, while also getting exercise!

9. New Years Eve Fireworks
