Girls basketball falls to Medfield 51-56 in second round of playoffs (11 photos)

The Wayland girls varsity basketball team holds hands as they line up for the national anthem to start the game against Medfield. Medfield is the team's second playoff game, and they fell short to a 56-51 loss. "Despite the loss, that was the best game we have played all season," senior captain Emma Kiernan said. "Medfield was the most competitive team we faced all season, and we were neck-in-neck the whole time."
For their second playoff game in the MIAA tournament, the Wayland girls varsity basketball team played against Medfield on Feb. 27. The team ended up falling to Medfield 51-56. Medfield is undefeated against Wayland for the past seven years.
