As of June 1, the Wayland Public Library will be reopening some of their services so that readers can check out books again after over two months of closure. The library closed all services on Monday, March 16, due to COVID-19.

However, services will not be conducted normally. People who wish to check out a book will be able to reserve it either online or by calling the library and then picking it up outside the library. Readers will not be permitted inside the library building, and the library is asking people to be mindful and practice social distancing while picking up their books.

There will be a 10-item limit, and books will not be returned right away. The library is figuring out a return system that they hope will be up and running by mid-summer.

Books can not be called in from other libraries as the Wayland Public Library’s inventory is the only one that they will allow people to reserve and borrow from.
