Girls soccer suffers a defeat from Cambridge Rindge & Latin

Senior captains Ellie Tyska, Abby Gavron and Tali Wong lead the team onto the field to start the game. After the pre-game huddle, the team runs onto the field ready to play Cambridge Rindge & Latin. The players believe the final score didn't reflect how hard Wayland worked. "It was a tough loss especially on a penalty kick in the last five minutes," Gavron said. "There were lots of great opportunities, but we just couldn’t finish. I think it was one of our better games as a team, we just got unlucky in the end."
The Wayland girls varsity soccer team lost a close game to Cambridge Rindge and Latin 3-2 after a huge back and forth fight. The game was tied at 2-2 until the last few minutes when a CRL player was fouled in the box, resulting in a goal off a penalty kick that pushed CRL to victory.
