On the evening of Monday, Feb. 1, Wayland Superintendent Arthur Unobskey sent an email out to Wayland families and staff informing them that the Wayland Public Schools will have a traditional snow day on Tuesday, Feb. 2 due to the heavy snowstorm. This means that students will not have either in-person or remote schooling.

“The snow day was caused by the duration of the storm that will extend into early tomorrow morning,” Unobskey wrote in his email. “As a result, the DPW will not be able to fully clear the areas around the school in time to have even a delayed start.”

Like a traditional snow day, this day will be made up at the end of the school year.

“Please stay safe and enjoy the snow!” Unobskey wrote.
