Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. The game was a chance for the usual lineup to be mixed around and for players to challenge their flexibility with positions.

Recap and future of the Wayland freshmen football team

The freshmen football team had a very successful 2023 season, causing some coaches and players to anticipate a successful few years ahead of the players. Join Staff Reporter Sofia Ciciarelli as she interviews freshmen football Head Coach Sean Chase about the freshmen football season and the future of Wayland football, specifically regarding this year’s freshmen players. Sofia Ciciarelli, Class of 2026, is a third year reporter and co-editor-in-chief for WSPN. Along with this, she is a managing editor for the yearbook. In the spring, she is a member of the varsity outdoor track and field team. Outside of school, Sofia likes spending time with family and friends, exercising and being outside.
