The swim and dive team competed in a quad meet against Framingham, Triton Regional High School and Mystic Valley Regional High School on Monday, Jan. 20 at the Wayland Community Pool. The boys and girls teams won against all three teams. On Friday, Jan. 31, the boys will compete at their Dual County League (DCL) Championships against 10 high schools, whereas the girls team will have their DCL meet on Saturday, Feb. 1 against eight other local swim teams.

Junior Sona Abrahamyan swims the 200 individual medley. "I want to see my fellow teammates do well at our upcoming big meets, DCL's, sectionals and states, myself included," Abrahamyan said. "I don't want to go down without a fight and I want to show the other teams that they should look out for Wayland because we are gonna bring the heat."

In the spring, she is a member of the varsity outdoor track and field team. Outside of school, Sofia likes spending time with family and friends, exercising and being outside.
