Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. The game was a chance for the usual lineup to be mixed around and for players to challenge their flexibility with positions.

Track and field races into first away meet of the season

The outdoor track and field team traveled to Weston High School to compete in a dual meet on Wednesday, April 9. The boys team lost to Weston, with a final score of 40-96, and the girls team also fell short, with a final score of 52-88. The team’s next meet is away at Westford Academy (WA) on Wednesday, April 16, against WA and Lincoln-Sudbury at 4 p.m..

Following the Weston athletes in the 800 meter race, (left to right) freshman Kareem Gayed, Brandon Hopps and Archie Baker run close together. "[I had] a bad start, but [it] was overall a good race," Baker said. "I'm happy with my results."
