To me, food is a highlight of the holidays, specifically during the end of December. The holiday season is brightened by the soft sugar cookies that suddenly become available everywhere. This recipe is simple, easy and makes some of the best sugar cookies I’ve had to date, certainly the best I’ve been able to (successfully) bake.
As you can see, I got a little excited with the toppings. But hey, if it has sugar, it belongs on a cookie! See Cole’s article for more ideas on how to decorate your cookies.

"The exterior is still a nice monument to remember buildings [involved in] water history," Hoey said.
