Wandering Backpack asks what you would bring if you had 10 minutes to pack a bag with your most treasured items, knowing you wouldn’t be back for years.

Food: I’m a grazer, so I eat throughout the day. I am constantly eating and thinking about food. These are foods that I love, and I am constantly eating them throughout the day.

Tea: I come from a tea drinking family, so I have a lot of tea around. I carry it with me just in case they don’t have it wherever I am.

Evil eye key chain: My best friend since first grade is from Turkey, and when she goes back, she always brings me evil eye jewelry and knick knacks. I just think of her whenever I see it.

Lego: It makes me think of my son who is into mini-figure Legos. He plays with Legos for hours on end.

Four-leaf clover: A student gave it to me years ago, and it brings me good luck and reminds me of my amazing students.

Sneakers: They are the same kind from when I was in high school.

New Yorker magazine: It makes me feel close to New Jersey, where I grew up.

Books: These are my favorite books, and they keep me busy! Some of them remind me of my childhood, and others are by authors I aspire to be like.

Clip doll: I had it when I was a child, and I passed it down to my daughter.

CDs: I love the music, and they remind me of my honeymoon in Spain.
