WSPN news editor, sophomore Taylor McGuire has launched a fundraiser to raise money for the Black Lives Matter Foundation. The fundraiser is selling facial coverings that say “Wayland Warriors” on them, and they will be sold for $15 each. All of the profits will go directly to the Black Lives Matter Foundation.

The Black Lives Matter Foundation is an organization that fights for the equality of black communities, to end the oppression of black communities and much more. The mask aspect of the fundraiser is in hopes of combating the spread of COVID-19.

“During these difficult times, it is more important than ever to rise up and make a change in and with our community,” McGuire said.
