On Saturday, June 13, everyone is welcome to march in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and to raise awareness for the systematic racism and police brutality happening in the world today.

Wayland High School alumnae Amanda Storth and Elli Orth have organized this walk and labeled it as a “peaceful show of support for all members of our community.”

Walkers will meet at the Wayland Middle School at 3 p.m., and they will depart on their march at 3:15 p.m. Walkers will follow Main Street and then turn onto Pequot Road, ultimately ending at Happy Hollow Elementary School. The walk is estimated to be around 27 minutes long.

All ages are encouraged to participate, but it is asked that walkers wear masks and practice social distancing. More information can be found using this link.
