As the holiday season is just around the corner, many people are scrambling to find gifts. Here are a few last minute gift ideas that are perfect for loved ones and friends. “I had a hard time Christmas shopping this year because of COVID-19 so I heavily relied on easy DIY gifts from home,” freshman Maggie Clifford said.

Are you scrambling to find last minute gifts for your friends or family? Yes? Well, then you have come to the right place! Below is a list of easy and quick gift ideas that will ensure that there are no hard feelings over forgotten gifts.

Recycled candle – One great idea is to grab a few almost empty candles from around your house, melt the wax and layer them  to create a cool multi-layered DIY candle!

Subscriptions – Buying a loved one a subscription is an easy gift that takes under five minutes! There are countless online platforms on which to buy subscriptions, so it’ll be easy to find one that is perfect for whoever you’re buying a gift. Some of my favorites are Birchbox, which is a beauty box subscription, and The Plant Mail Club, which is a plant box subscription.

Baked Goods – If you need something cheap and quick to make as a present, bake your gift recipient their favorite treat! Place them in a nice bag or box with a nice card!

Make a Playlist – A playlist is the 21st-century version of a mixtape, making it the perfect quick and easy gift. All you have to do is find a couple of songs that you think your gift receiver would like, or any songs that make you think of them, and then share it with them by texting or emailing them a link.

Coupon Book – This is a classic DIY gift that will always be a go-to when in need of something to gift last minute. You can use post-it notes or paper to make your coupons and write whatever you want on each one. Some ideas are free hugs, free massage and a free home-cooked meal!
