Playing for a cause: Wayland beats Bedford 1-0 at annual Kicks for Cancer game

The Wayland Boys Varsity soccer team played at the annual Kicks for Cancer game on Sept. 25. The event was held at Concord-Carlisle High School. Wayland wore bright pink jerseys, the entire event was to raise awareness of the fight against ovarian cancer. The game finished with a final score of 1-0, with Wayland taking the win against Bedford.

As the game began, the players on the sideline held each other to show their support for their teammates. While players were not currently playing in the game, they wore a green pinnie over their uniforms.
