More than a game: Wayland football raises awareness for domestic abuse at Lincoln-Sudbury game
October 28, 2021
To honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Wayland fans sported purple attire at the Wayland Warriors football game against Lincoln-Sudbury Friday, Oct. 22. The game was dedicated to 2011 Wayland High School graduate Lauren Dunne Astley, who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend Nathaniel Fujita. Although Wayland lost 49-12, the game’s meaning is sure to leave a lasting impact on the Wayland community.
