Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. The game was a chance for the usual lineup to be mixed around and for players to challenge their flexibility with positions.

Wrestling team pins down a victory at home quad meet

The wrestling team hosted Norton, Nashoba Regional High School and Pembroke for a quad meet on Saturday, Jan. 18. Wayland took the victory, beating all four teams. Two of the Wayland captains were out due to injury. The team’s next quad meet is on Saturday, Jan. 25  against Lynnfield, Plymouth North High School and Worcester Technical High School at the WHS field house.
