WHS Fall Game Schedule: Spirit week

The annual Powderpuff game will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Tuesday, Nov. 25:

Spikeball Tournament.
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Location: WHS Field House.

Wednesday, Nov. 26:

Powderpuff Football vs Weston.
- Time: 3:00 p.m..
- Location: Proctor Field, Weston High School.

This week, the annual Wayland vs Weston Powderpuff game is taking place at Weston High School. Powderpuff is a flag football game, an ongoing tradition put on by seniors and parents. Last year, there was some controversy surrounding the game, making it not a school sanctioned event. Powderpuff is still unsanctioned by Wayland High School.

Thursday, Nov. 27:

Football vs Weston.
- Time: 10:00 a.m..
- Location: Wayland High School Turf.
- Senior night for Wayland.

Wayland will take on Weston at the annual Thanksgiving game to continue the long-standing rivalry. Last year, Wayland defeated Weston 35-0 to cap off their 9-2 season. This year, Wayland enters the game with a record of 3-7, and they are on a two game winning streak. Weston enters this game with a record of 6-2.

Joey Fay, Class of 2027, is a second year reporter and sports editor for WSPN. He is a member of the varsity baseball team at WHS. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Sasha Libenzon, Class of 2025, is a co-editor-in-chief of WSPN, and this is her fourth year on staff. Previously to becoming EIC, Sasha served as a co-multimedia editor for two years. Outside of WSPN, she is captain of the Nordic ski team and runs track for Wayland High School. She is also co-editor-in-chief of the yearbook.
