Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. News Brief: Cotillion canceled due to low ticket sales

This year's Junior-Senior Cotillion has been canceled due to low ticket sales.
The Junior-Senior Cotillion, which was supposed to take place on Friday, December 4 at 7 p.m., has been canceled due to low ticket sales.

“I’m a little disappointed,” Class of 2014 Treasurer Ethan Hecker said. “It’s going to raise Prom prices. We were just looking to use this as our main fundraiser.”

Last year’s Cotillion was the first one since 2009. All of the funds from the event went to the class of 2013. This year and last year, the junior class planned the event and invited the senior class, who helped to advertise the event.
