Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. The game was a chance for the usual lineup to be mixed around and for players to challenge their flexibility with positions.

Fake mustache: For self defense.

Deodorant: This is a necessity.

Grip trainer: This is an obsession.

Emblem of karate dojo: A huge part of who I am.

Audio book: It’s an audio book of my favorite book, which keeps me connected to my childhood love of story telling.

Works of Shakespeare: The greatest poet in the English language.
