[/caption]October 13, 2013. Always remember, never forget. What a day this was in Boston sports. I felt like I was nine years old back in 2004.
Tom Brady leading the Patriots to an improbable fourth quarter comeback on a last-second drive made me feel like Tom Brady was 25 again; he was Tom Terrific. The under-the-radar Patriots are now 5-1. This is a team with basically no wide receivers, and multiple injuries. Huge win for the Pats.
Right after the Patriots, also on Fox (best part of the day was not getting up off the couch), the Red Sox again were playing like trash. They were striking out and couldn’t get a hit. I was ready to throw in the towel and give up on the season. But, David “Big Papi” Ortiz did what he always does; he comes through in the clutch and hits a monster grand slam to tie the game!
Absolutely unbelievable. The Sox then won it in the ninth on a Salty baseball, off of Jose Iglesias’ glove (man did we win that trade). I could write 10,000 words on this Sox team right now. They truly are amazing. They work together as a team and never give up. Yesterday was a day in Boston sports that won’t soon be forgotten. For a few hours we were able to hop into our DeLorean and visit the year 2004. Man was it great.
Now on to Warrior news:
One team that has been overlooked this year is the girls’ volleyball team. They are a very young team who came into this year with low expectations, but now find themselves at 8-5. This is better than they have done in a very long time.
Of the starters, Lizy Flagg, Tori Varnau and Mary O’Donnell are all first year members of the varsity team. Hopefully the girls will be able to continue the success that they’ve had so far this season.
The football team had another impressive win this weekend in their away game against Boston Latin. After first-half injuries to captains Ben Boschetto and Matt Cramer, the Warriors were forced to receive key contributions from unlikely places.
After a big second half, the Warriors won 24-14. They moved to a record of 3-2 at this stage in the young season. Next week they have a key away game against Bedford. There is a big difference between 3-3 and 4-2.
“I just come do what I’ve got to do, play my game. And I don’t worry if anybody likes it.”

You should probably do all sports seeing as this is warrior weekly and should be based on the whole school… Not just football and the occasional other sport
