Students and their families in the class of 2023 receive an email about semi. Because of the weather forecast the dance has been postponed for the fifth time.

Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, Oct. 30, the junior class executive board decided to postpone their semiformal dance to an unknown date. Originally, the dance was set to take place at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club on Oct. 17, 2020. Because of COVID-19, the junior e-board was then moved to Oct. 22, 2021, once again set to take place at the country club. As the date came closer, the e-board moved it once again to Nov. 6, before finally being deciding on Oct. 30.

However, as COVID-19 restrictions did not loosen, the class government decided to hold the semiformal at Wayland High School, instead of Wedgewood. Less then a week before the dance, it has been postponed to an unknown date.

Because of indoor mask mandates at WHS, the junior e-board decided on moving semi-formal outside so that students would not have to wear masks during the dance. An email was sent to members of e-board with options for postponing the dance to Nov. 6 or the spring, but there has been no news of a finalized plan.
