News:
Co-Editor-in-Chief Nadya Chase and WSPN’s Aimee Smith broke the news on Wayland police responding to antisemitic vandalism. Meanwhile, Staff Reporter Melina Barris summarized WHS’s upcoming spirit week. Co-Editor-in-Chief Talia Macchi and Chase wrote about the Wayland community rallying against antisemitism.
Features:
WSPN’s Jennifer Shine and Staff Reporter Annika Martins discussed Window dance ensemble. WSPN’s Sasha Libenzon and Staff Reporters Jessi Dretler, Elyssa Grillo and Jillian Mele produced an article and gallery on the Class of 2024’s Progressive Dinner.
WSPN’s Selena Liu and Libenzon wrote about WHS’s exchange students, Henrique Abecasis and Philipp Knecht. WSPN’s Tina Su and Liu produced an article on Liberty’s Pizza’s efforts to rebuild after the fire.
Sports:
WSPN’s Jeffery Zhang wrote about Champions League updates and predictions.
“The English Premier League team Manchester City is the most likely winner of this season’s UCL,” Zhang wrote. “This club not only leads in goals scored but also leads the competition for possession and passing accuracy.”
Opinion:
Shine wrote about how this Patriots’ season was embarrassing.
“The New England Patriots have been breaking records this football season, and not in a good way,” Shine wrote. “I no longer look forward to watching the Patriots play on Sundays because of their repeatedly crumbling offense.”
A&E:
WSPN’s Katya Luzarraga produced the official WHS “Never Have I Ever” quiz. Meanwhile, Su wrote about WHSTE’s “SpongeBob Musical.”
Staff Reporter Makenzie Macchi and T. Macchi reviewed “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” WSPN’s Mischa Lee and Grillo discussed fashion cities and their street styles.
Multimedia:
Staff Reporter Natalie Greenaway and Libenzon photographed the varsity field hockey team’s final win against South High Community.
Podcast:
Dretler, Lee and Grillo broke down Wayland’s news in Weekly Breakdown Episode 71.
