On Friday, Nov. 8, the varsity football team defeated Burlington 48-44 in an offensive battle during the first round of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Division IV football playoffs. Wayland, in the third quarter, after losing at halftime, erased a two score deficit and eventually won the game. Wayland will face Scituate at 7 p.m. at Scituate High School on Friday, Nov. 15, for round two of the playoffs.
