Wandering Backpack: Patrick Tutwiler

WSPN’s newest series, Wandering Backpack, asks what would you bring if you had 10 minutes to pack a bag with your most treasured items, knowing you wouldn’t be back for years.
Laptop: Assuming there is still electricity and Internet access, I really enjoy two things: communicating through various media and writing.

Tie: This is a little silly, but you never know when you need to dress formally.

Phone: Assuming I’d have to leave loved ones behind, I’d want to hear their voices.

Photograph of children: My daily inspiration.

White cheddar rice cakes: I don’t know when my next meal would be, so I’d better have something to snack on.
