Ask Vilma: Hard to tell

Theres this guy in my grade that I like, but I cant tell wether or not he likes me. We talk to eachother all the time, and flirt, but then he tells me about his crush on a different girl. Its weird, sometimes I think he likes me but sometimes I think he doesn’t know I exist.

Your situation reminds me of a song by my girl Taylor Swift, ‘Teardrops on my Guitar.’ She talks about how in high school she had a friend named Drew whom she had a hankering for. Drew always talked to her about girls he liked. I suggest to you that you go out and buy a guitar and cry teardrops on it. Before long you will be a very successful singer/songwriter and your “Drew” will be begging to go out with you. In other words, keep trying and maybe you’ll get lucky and he’ll realize that you’re the one for him. If things don’t work out between you two, another guy will come along who you can write a happy song about that doesn’t involve teardrops (just like my girl Taylor Swift).
