News:
Editor Tess Alongi reported on the process of traveling with COVID-19 this summer. WSPN’s Sophia Oppenheim talked to WHS students about how they stayed busy this summer.

Co-Editors-in-Chief Garrett Spooner and Taylor McGuire along with WSPN’s Genevieve Morrison, Brasen Chi, Emily Roberge and Jonathan Zhang shared ten things to know about the 2021-22 school year. McGuire also spoke on the youth-run rally to end period poverty.

Sports:
WSPN’s Genevieve Morrison wrote about a Natick athlete that won a USA Today Special Olympics Award.

“Earlier this summer, USA Today named Natick High School junior Jake Blatnica the Special Olympics Athlete of the Year,” Morrison said. “The award, presented by Michael Strahan during the High School Sports Award Ceremony, recognized Jake for his success in Unified basketball and track.”

Editor Charlotte Thirman published a gallery from the Varsity Boys Soccer pre-season victory over Pentucket. Editor Olivia Tawakol shot a gallery at the Ninth-grade orientation.

Thirman and Tawakol along with Co-Editor-in Chief Garrett Spooner all shared photos from the first day of the 2021-22 school year.

A&E:
Co-Editor-in Chief Taylor McGuire tried to guess people’s favorite season.

Opinion:
WSPN’s Emily Roberge spoke about the conversely surrounding Simone Bile’s choice to withdraw from the individual all-around team final and how that has impacted the conversation of mental health. Guest writer Prash Subbiah discussed the harsh realities of senior citizens holding public office.

Editor Genevieve Morrison shared the dangers of Texas’s Senate Bill 8, which severely restricts abortion in Texas.
