Warrior Weekly: Weekend Roundup

Whitney Halperin October 28, 2014
This past weekend was a very eventful weekend for Wayland Athletics! Kicking off the weekend were our Friday games. The girls’ field hockey team defeated Lincoln-Sudbury 1-0 with a goal in the final minutes by senior Natalya Denisevich. This win was icing on top of the rest of the success the girls have experiences because it is the first time Wayland has beaten LS in a couple seasons! Girls’ volleyball sailed through their game at Framingham by defeating Framingham three matches in a row, in turn, winning their game.
Pictured above is junior Libby Camp performing at Framingham Public Library’s Youth Poetry Slam. She is a member of Wayland’s Slam Poetry Club and has performed at three different slams. “When I write, it’s like a release from all of my thoughts pushing me to the breaking point,” Camp said.
