News:

Editor Nadya Chase shared information about the Green Team holding Earth Week. WSPN’s Kally Proctor, along with Staff Reporters Emma Zocco and Melina Barris, reported on the WCPA’s annual spring egg hunt. WSPN’s Tess Alongi broke the news on the announcement of the finalists for the interim assistant superintendent role. Co-Editor-in-Chief Genevieve Morrison wrote about the School Committee selecting David Fleishman as interim superintendent.

Chase, Alongi and WSPN’s Aimee Smith interviewed Wayland’s School Committee candidates. Morrison also reported on the published emails between School Committee candidate and former interim superintendent candidate. Meanwhile, Chase, Smith and Staff Reporter Selena Liu explored San Francisco’s Union Square and its culture.

WSPN’s Katya Luzarraga and Charlotte Thirman, along with Staff Reporter Penelope Biddle, produced a video about the celebration of life held for Mike O’Connor. WSPN’s Jackie Cahaly and Staff Reporter Lucy Grasso produced a video about new track coach Timothy Glavin. Meanwhile, Staff Reporters Hallie Luo and Sierra Dale photographed the girls lacrosse game against Nipmuc.

Sports:

Liu shared her opinion on being a three-season athlete. Meanwhile, Alongi and Schreiber interviewed new varsity baseball head coach Chris Fay.

Multimedia:

Chase, WSPN’s Bella Schreiber and Staff Reporter Jeffery Zhang produced a video about junior Katie Pralle making sandwiches for homeless shelters. Co-Editor Sasha Libenzon, Datar and Staff Reporter Chloe Zilembo highlighted Classic Clocks Etc. and its history.

A&E:

Editor Talia Macchi, along with Barris and Staff Reporter Jessi Dretler, shared the top trends of spring 2023.

“The warm weather months are here, and it’s time to update your closet for the new season,” Macchi, Barris and Dretler wrote. “Here are seven popular styles to look stylish this spring.”

Opinion:

Zhang wrote about Carlos Alcaraz’s potential to become the best player of all time. Luzarraga shared her opinion on the reputation of George Santos.
