What is your favorite medium to work with?
Probably pen and pencil.

How did you come up with the ideas for your art?
I have a lot of artists that I follow, and I just get inspired by stuff that they do. I like drawing from nature and plants. I’m really interested in anatomy and just people in general.

Which artists do you follow?
I follow a bunch of artists on Tumblr. One, named Mel Tow, does some cool, simplistic illustrations that are based around people, things and everyday objects.

Do you take art classes?
Yeah. I’m in Art 3 [at WHS]. [Outside of school], this is my third year taking classes at Acton Art.

Would you want to pursue art as a career in the future?
Yes, I think for college I’m going to try and combine it with biology, so possibly doing medical illustrations or something like that.

What do you like the most about art?
I like how it’s very personal. You can express whatever you like in it, and there are no real rules.
