Kyle Chen, Class of 2020, is the opinion section editor for WSPN, and this is his fourth year on the staff. Kyle is the captain of the cross-country team and also runs both indoor and outdoor track. In his free time, he enjoys reading, listening to music and playing the piano.

!["Hidden Figures," a 2016 Oscar nominee that details the story of three African American women working for NASA, was shown as the featured film during this year's Winter Week. The film was selected by Student Council in an effort to reestablish the Winter Week movie as a tradition and reaffirm its purpose. “I think [this year’s] Student Council wanted to be clear and transparent about the purpose behind showing a movie,” Principal Allyson Mizoguchi said. “The idea in general is to have a shared experience amongst students that’s entertaining, educational and uplifting.”](https://waylandstudentpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/fullsizeoutput_14-900x600.jpeg)
