The display has since been taken down, as over a year has passed since the war began. “This war shouldn't have started,” junior Misha Eberle said. “Nobody should have to die over these geopolitical forces that are just playing a game of chess. ![“Women of Wayland” podcast creator Yamini Ranjan promotes the newest season of her podcast. The goal of the podcast is to share the stories of Wayland women, as well as bring the Wayland community closer together. “I don’t feel alone doing this podcast,” Ranjan said. “I always say ‘we,’ I never say ‘I’ because I feel like it’s a collaboration of women and me together, and that’s how the stories come out. ![On Tuesday, Nov. 23, the Alliance Club hosted Anonymous Ask, an event in the auditorium where WHS students asked panelists about sex, gender, relationships and many other topics. The event was held entirely in the dark, except for lights on the panelists, to use anonymity as encouragement for students to ask questions that they otherwise may feel too awkward or uncomfortable to ask. "I definitely feel that there’s a big need [for this event],” librarian assistant and co-advisor of Alliance Kassie Wright said. "For one, this school teaches abstinence, which is great and I definitely think is good, but we also have to be realistic and know that there are kids who are going to be practicing sex and this is a way to teach them safe sex, safe gender, safe things about their relationships [and] any type of thing that they may not have known."](https://waylandstudentpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Screen-Shot-2021-12-06-at-9.09.28-AM-900x655.png)
