Let the debate begin!

Nope.

Sometimes a person cannot share their views due to personal attacks that will follow.

I agree with Ryan. Comments led by an anonymous guise let’s people not only post more freely, but then they don’t have to restrict themselves to only typing what they think is 100% appropriate, and all of their personal views.
8:14 am
what is this internet that you speak of?
4:23 pm
definately not. anonymous comments have only led to cyber bullying, which are an inaccurate representation of supportive critism.

@blah:
What are you talking about? An inaccurate representation of supportive criticism? That’s what bullies would say, if they could. Also, would you like to have your name plastered across the net? Say Bob Jones posted on xyz forum. Then anyone could Google Bob Jones and then find who he was, number, anything. Plus a strong number of sexual predators are on the net; I would suggest that anonymous comments are good, but only if used in places that are necessary, but then again, anything on the internet can be interpreted as bad….

Id rather be cyber bullied than bullied in real life.
Blah stop going on youtube so much.

Anonymous comments are often ineffective. If somebody really believes in what they are saying, they will attach their name to the comment. Anonymity exists to allow for people to hide their actual selves behind a facade, and lie to the world. Anonymity is used to give posters the ability to remove responsibility from their actions.

OOOOkay well people clearly don’t see the harm on putting your actual name on the internet; someone could steal an identity, or send some sort of ‘package’ or subscribe you to a ‘magazine’ that you could find ‘repulsive’…. For all we know after someone who finds your name, they could go onto Whitepages, look up where you live, then send some things that are unnecessary to your house. Would you like this to happen to you? Plus, anyone who just commented saying that anonymous comments are bad, and then just posted under ‘anon’, ‘anonymous’ and any other variation is a hypocrite.
