News Brief: Schedule alterations for the week of Oct. 12

On Thursday, Oct. 8, Wayland High School Principal Allyson Mizoguchi sent out an email detailing the schedule changes for the week of Oct. 12.

Due to classes being cancelled on Thursday, Oct. 8, Wayland High School has had to alter the schedule for the next week. WHS Principal Allyson Mizoguchi sent out an email to families and students on Thursday, Oct. 8 detailing the changes.

As of right now, classes will begin again on Friday, Oct. 9, following a typical Friday schedule (periods 2, 4, 6 and 8.)

No classes will be held on Monday, Oct. 12 in observance of Indigenous People’s Day.

Tuesday, Oct. 13 will follow a typical Monday schedule with periods 1, 3, 5 and 7 meeting.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, students will not have their independent learning days. Instead, periods 2, 4, 6, and 8 will meet.

Thursday, Oct. 15 will be relatively normal, with periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 meeting, but there will be an Extended Advisory as well. The bell schedule for Thursday is yet to be determined.

Finally, on Friday, Oct. 16, teachers will meet for a Professional Development day, and classes for students will not meet.
