Staff Reporter Kally Proctor spoke to many WHS seniors about the beginning of the annual senior slump. Staff Reporter Nadya Chase wrote about “A World of Difference” program that is starting at WHS in hopes of eliminating bias at WHS. Editor Tess Alongi along with WSPN’s Genevieve Morrison produced a video of WHS students returning to school mask-optional.

Features:
Staff Reporters Talia Macchi and Penelope Biddle talked to students who had to quarantine without a virtual learning option. WSPN’s Sophia Oppenheim spoke with WHS community members about gap years.

Sports:
Staff Reporters Abby Raftery and Emma Zocco reported on the Girls basketball annual Coaches vs Cancer game.

“We started this the first year I started coaching the varsity team nine years ago in memory of a former Wayland freshmen basketball coach and guidance counselor, Jim Griffin, who died of pancreatic cancer,” girls varsity basketball coach Amanda Rukstalis said.

Staff Reporter Selena Liu shared her thoughts on the controversy surrounding Eileen Gu. Guest Reporter Clavin Chow produced a Cartoon about the stress students experience in their daily lives.

Staff Reporter Katya Luzarraga wrote about black female power arriving on the Supreme Court. Staff Reporter Selena Liu shared her opinions about NYC’s ignorance with Asian hate crimes. WSPN’s Deirdre Brown wrote about how she believes that what happened in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the right call.
