Continued from last week…
2. Whistle when you walk between classes. Pick a favorite song, or make up your own. The birds will stop chirping soon, and we need something to distract us from the arctic air that is coming.
1. Set your alarm five minutes earlier so you can hit snooze before you have to wake up. No, this is not a new idea. Yes, this will make you so much happier in the morning. Nothing – and I mean nothing – is better than waking up before you have to, just to go back to sleep in your nice warm bed.
It finally feels like fall, so it’s time to blog about it.
10. Winter’s coming! Yes, it’ll be cold, but with everyone whistling outside, you won’t even notice! (Winter also means snow, which I could write several hundred good things about.)
9. Color scheme change. Yeah, summer’s green grass and blue sky are nice, but they get old.
8. Along with the color change – crunchy leaves. More satisfying to step on than ants.
7. Apples and all the delicious foods they go into. Apple cider, apple pie, applesauce, apple butter… seriously, aren’t you hungry right now?
6. Again with the food – warm drinks. No more iced coffee, I say! Whip me up some hot caramel latte! Nuke a mug of cider. Warm up and embrace the weather.
5. It started a few weeks ago, but the new fall TV season. Is it totally dorky how much I love Terra Nova? And weird how lame American Horror Story is?
4. Halloween. So soon! I’m not telling you what my costume will be for Senior Dress Up Day, so don’t ask – but it’s going to rock.
3. Veteran’s Day off… depending on your grade, you’ll be either be doing nothing, doing nothing but thinking about something, doing nothing but thinking about school, or doing nothing but thinking about college.
2. Football season. Thank God Brady cut his hair.
1. Thanksgiving. I could talk about the food and the family, but you know all that. It can’t be described.
